National Vietnam Veterans Day on 29 march recognizes United States veterans who served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Everyone should make a difference between it and Veterans Day.

National Vietnam Veterans Day recognizes United States veterans who served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Everyone should make a difference between it and Veterans Day. It’s an annual US holiday observed on March, 29th.

History of the National Vietnam Veterans Day:

On March 28th, 2017, The President Donald J. Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017. This Recognition Act officially makes March 29th as a Vietnam War Veterans Day annually. It also encourages people to show and display the United States flag every year on March 29th.

A lot of people know that Vietnam War was one of the biggest military conflicts in the 20th century. It started as a civil war in South Vietnam and after that, it changed into the biggest war between the government of South Vietnam and North Vietnam. A lot of other countries joined this war, North Vietnam was supported by China, Cuba, North Korea and the Soviet Union. South Vietnam was supported by the US, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea and other allies.

Celebrating National Vietnam Veterans Day:

On March 29th which is the National Vietnam Veterans Day, many public and administrative buildings will fly the flag of the United States. Also, a lot of citizens will raise the American flag in their homes and yards. On this day is good for everyone to thank an American Vietnam Veteran for their service. If possible to buy them a free breakfast or lunch. There are also a lot of celebrations all across the US like honorary ceremonies, events, luncheons, and speeches.

A lot of Vietnam Veterans and their family members, prefer to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. They are honoring the rest of their Brothers and Sisters who have lost their lives in this military conflict.
